About the therapist

Betsy Meinecke, LMT, NCTM (they/she) holds a BS in Biology and BA in Theatre from the College of William & Mary and is a graduate of the Medical Massage Therapy program at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy.  Their WI DSPS Massage Therapist or Bodyworker license number is 11208-146.

       Before moving to Milwaukee in July of 2011, Betsy owned Kinetic Massage Therapy in Erie, PA.  They have served as an instructor for both the Milwaukee School of Massage (Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Body Mechanics, Ethics) and the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy (Neuromucular Therapy). They also worked as a therapist with Elements Therapeutic Massage in Whitefish Bay, Actaea Works, Ltd. in Bay View, Backrubs & Bodyworks in downtown Pittsburgh, and XpresSpa in the Pittsburgh International Airport.  During their training, they interned as a sports massage therapist for the Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp.  

     Betsy is trained in neuromuscular therapy, sports, Swedish, pregnancy, and chair massage, as well as myofacial release and manual lymphatic drainage (see Types of Massage).  They specializes in deep tissue techniques.  

In addition to bodywork, Betsy loves their Riverwest community, riding their bike, yoga, music, pets, and travel.
